Hull Motor Show – 24th August 2014

The Hull Motor show was held at East Park on 24th August and Abbie’s Fund were the chosen as the supported charity for this years event and all profits from the show were donated to us.  We really appreciate their help and support through this excellent event, and they raised an incredible £3,012 for Abbie’s Fund which allows us to donate 120 memory boxes to help berieved local families. It’s an incredible achievement and we’re blown away by the efforts and dedication of the small team that put so much into the organisation of the event. Of course we’d like to thank everyone who contributed to the total by attending the event and to Rapid Solicitors who sponsored the show.

We also had a stall at the show selling homemade cakes that numerous people baked for us and a tombolla which was also possible through donated prizes. The stall was busy all day and we sold every one of the cakes and all of the tombola prizes were won, so thanks to everyone who baked and donated prizes, and to all of the people who visited the stall on the day and helped us to make over £800, which equates to 33 memory boxes.

VLS (Vehicle  Livery Solutions) also ran a fantastic competition for a vehicle wrap which incorporated an Abbies Fund logo, and donated Abbie’s Fund bumper stickers and ‘bonnet stripes’ tombola prize so we’d like to thank them for their support – to visit their website click here.

We’d also like to thank the Simply Modified Car Club for their support and the balloon release they organised on the afternoon.

It’s overwhelming to get this support from everyone who helped us in many different ways and we really do appreciate it – you are making a difference for us, and for local parents and families who lose their babies, so thank you all. We’ll be back with a stall for the 2015 event.
